About SimpliBaked
SimpliBaked (The Flat Bread Company Limited) is a growing Irish bakery based at Cloncollig Industrial Estate, Tullamore, producing tortilla wraps and pizza bases for retail and foodservice customers. We run three high-volume production lines and operate to internationally certified food safety standards (BRCGS).
The Role
As Shift Supervisor you own the production floor for your shift. You will run all three production lines, lead a team of team leaders, line operators and production operatives, and be the go-to decision maker on everything from changeovers to quality calls. You will report to our Production Managers and work closely with Engineering, QA and Warehouse.
What Your Day Looks Like
- Run all three production lines to plan — start-ups, changeovers and shift handovers completed quickly and safely
- Keep every production run on its yield target and act fast with corrective actions when it drifts
- Drive quality on the floor — doughball weights, product size, seal integrity, correct date/batch labelling and pallet build specification
- Lead your team — allocate tasks, manage attendance, coach and train, and resolve issues on the spot
- Log downtime accurately and work directly with Engineering to get lines back up fast
- Record waste and validate finished product counts on our stock system at the end of each shift
- Enforce food safety, hygiene (GMP) and health & safety standards — PPE, handwashing, clean-as-you-go
- Manage the weekly production clean-down with a fair workload allocation across the team
What We're Looking For
- Supervisory or team leader experience in food manufacturing or FMCG production (2+ years ideal)
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP and food hygiene practice
- A confident decision maker who stays calm under pressure
- A strong communicator who can lead, motivate and hold standards
- Comfortable with production paperwork — downtime logs, waste records, yield reporting
- Flexibility to work the rotating shift cycle
Shift Pattern
8-hour shifts rotating weekly across Days (08:00–16:00), Evenings (16:00–00:00) and Nights (00:00–08:00) on a repeating 3-week cycle. Currently Sunday to Friday (Subject to Change)
