Established and successful, Midlands-based company located between Geashill and Portarlington engaged in the quarrying, motor trade and the machinery industry has identified a vacancy for a Bookkeeper/Office Administrator reporting directly to the owner.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and issue invoices and monitor client payments.
- Complete bank and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns to external accountant.
- Process payroll for a team of fewer than 10 employees.
Requirements
- Previous experience of at least 5 years in an account's role in Ireland.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office systems and an accounting package (i.e. Big Red Book or similar)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Work location on site and in person for all hours.
- Capable of operating alone and under own initiative at a high level of trust in a remote environment.
- Experience in construction/motor trade would be an advantage, but not essential.
Hours to be negotiated and excellent remuneration for suitable candidate
