Full job description

Tusker Construction Group is based in Co. Monaghan. The Business is family owned, and managed, with over 30 years experience in all areas of the construction sector their success is a strong testament to the supporting divisions within the group such as Crane Hire, Plant Hire, Construction & Demolition, Steelworks, Haulage, and Waste Recycling.

As part of our on-going growth we are now looking to expand our team and have an exciting opportunity for Mobile Crane Operators- Experienced and Trainee positions available.

Requirements:

Valid Safe Pass
Valid CSCS Slinger/Signaller
Valid CSCS Mobile Crane
Full, Clean Driver Licence (Category C) with minimum 1 year professional driving experience essential
Excellent timekeeping
Candidates must be flexible regarding their work hours

NOTE: Full training will be provided for Trainee Crane Drivers. Valid Safe Pass and CSCS Slinger/Signaller desirable.

Responsibilities:

Set up and Operate mobile cranes based on manufacturers specifications
Operate and adhere to Lift Plans, Risk Assessments/Method Statements
Inspect clearances, overhead lines, and other possible obstructions to ensure there are no accidents or damage to employees, buildings, loads, or equipment
Inspect and assesses ground conditions to ensure that the crane can be set up safely
Inspect cranes for defects and wear prior to operation and document machine safety checks each day
Perform necessary minor repairs or maintenance
Comply with all applicable safety laws, guidelines, and best practices
Maintain logs and records of operation activities
Perform other related duties as assigned
Working with a banksman and others as applicable to ensure site safety
Report any issues immediately
Maintain crane in a good and clean condition
Wearing all Personal Protective Equipment required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €18.00-€25.00 per hour
