Our import/export client, requires a Sales Account Manager to join their team.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for driving revenue growth while also ensuring strong control of pricing, stock allocation, reporting, and internal sales processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the sales function operates efficiently, accurately, and commercially.
Key Responsibilities

Sales & Account Management
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts
- Identify and develop new business opportunities
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Conduct telesales and proactive customer engagement
- Build strong relationships across wholesale, retail, and foodservice sectors
- Negotiate pricing and commercial terms

. Sales Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate customer records, price lists, and sales data
- Manage daily sales administration and order processing
- Monitor customer shortages and communicate updates
- Support planning, forecasting, and reporting activities
- Prepare reports and present insights to management
3. Data Management & Reporting
- Produce and manage weekly sales reports (Ireland & UK)
- Maintain and update Power BI dashboards and datasets
- Analyse sales performance and margin reports
- Monitor pricing (C1/C2) and highlight issues to the sales team
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making

Stock, Allocation & Process Management
- Support allocation processes (weekly scheduling and customer allocation)
- Liaise with Purchasing and Warehouse on stock and supply issues
- Manage “overs” process and support sales team in clearing stock
- Monitor and communicate shortages and delivery issues
- Ensure adherence to internal processes and cut-off times

Pricing & Commercial Control
- Maintain and distribute accurate price lists
- Update pricing based on exchange rates and product changes
- Support margin control and reporting
- Ensure consistency across customer pricing structures

Customer Service & Communication
- Act as a key point of contact for customers
- Ensure high standards of service and responsiveness
- Communicate transport, stock, and delivery updates clearly
- Support issue resolution and escalation where required
7.
Team Collaboration & Cover
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, and operations teams
- Provide cover for sales reps during annual leave
- Support order processing and customer communication during absences
- Contribute to weekly sales meetings and operational updates
