About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of one of our construction clients based in Co. Meath, who are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an office-based role supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and working closely with the Office Manager.

Reporting to: Office Manager

Key Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Process supplier invoices and customer billing accurately and on time
Carry out regular bank and account reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with Revenue deadlines
Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Liaise with external accountants as required
Maintain accurate and well-organized financial records
Provide general finance and administrative support to the office team

Requirements

Previous experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounts role is essential
Strong experience with AP, AR, and accounts to trial balance
Experience preparing VAT returns
Good working knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Experience in construction or trades is an advantage, but not essential

9:00am – 5:00pm
