Materials Direct is a growing supplier of energy efficiency and building products serving the specialist retrofit, construction, external insulation, ventilation heating and solar PV sectors in both Mayo and Dublin.
As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly organised, hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to support the development of our Ballina branch and future operational growth.
This is not a traditional warehouse manager role.
We are looking for somebody energetic, efficient, highly organised and capable of leading from the front operationally.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- warehouse operations
- stock management
- dispatch efficiency
- customer collections
- operational organisation
- supporting future branch growth
This role will suit somebody with experience in:
- high-output warehouse operations
- logistics
- retail distribution
- builders merchants
- fast-paced operational environments
Experience in environments such as Aldi, Lidl, logistics distribution, builders merchants or trade supply operations would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing warehouse operations
- Preparing and coordinating daily dispatches
- Picking, loading and unloading materials
- Managing stock organisation and stock accuracy
- Receiving incoming deliveries
- Supporting customer collections
- Coordinating warehouse workflow and efficiency
- Ensuring strong housekeeping and safety standards
- Supporting operational systems and stock control
- Assisting with team coordination and warehouse performance
Working Hours
Warehouse Operational Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 6:00pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Typical Supervisor Shift:
No Saturday or Bank Holiday working required.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and hands-on attitude
- Good IT and organisational skills
- Forklift experience preferred
- Experience working in fast-paced warehouse/logistics environments
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Flexible and solution-oriented mindset
