The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-focused Trainee Pest Control Technician to join our team based in Drogheda.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in pest control. No previous industry experience is required, as full training will be provided.
You will be responsible for servicing an assigned portfolio of customers, carrying out pest inspections and treatments, providing professional advice, and delivering an exceptional level of customer service. The role is field-based and requires you to manage your own daily schedule while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Service and maintain an assigned portfolio of customers to a consistently high standard.
- Carry out pest inspections, treatments and monitoring visits.
- Complete clear and accurate digital service reports after each customer visit.
- Provide customers with professional advice on pest prevention and control.
- Identify opportunities to provide additional pest control services where appropriate.
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at all times.
- Manage your daily workload efficiently to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain your company vehicle and ensure all equipment is kept in good working order.
- Work a 38-hour week in line with operational and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Full clean driving licence.
- A genuine interest in building a career in pest control.
- No phobias relating to working at heights or handling pests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Comfortable using mobile devices and digital reporting systems.
- A positive attitude with a strong customer service focus.
- Reliable, professional and a team player.
- Must be eligible to work in Ireland.
