Full job description

CJ SHEERAN, Ireland’s largest manufacturer and recycler of timber packaging and pallets are are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Key Account Manager to join our growing team.

This is a dynamic role for an organised and relationship-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across sales, operations, finance, and customer service. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, improving internal processes, and driving operational excellence, while using data and insights to support business growth and customer satisfaction.

Duties will include:

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of sales operations and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive process automation and system integration, with a focus on the ERP system and other business systems
Standardise and document all operational procedures, ensuring best practices are followed across departments
Act as a liaison between the sales team and other departments ensuring alignment of goals and smooth communication
Assist in developing pricing strategies that reflect market conditions, profitability targets, and customer needs
Provide financial insights and sales data to support decision-making and revenue optimisation strategies
Oversee the customer onboarding process, ensuring seamless transitions for new clients and setting the stage for long-term relationships
Work with the sales and finance teams to refine documentation, contracts and agreements
Drive customer service improvements to ensure a high level of satisfaction
Serve as the escalation point for complex customer issues, working towards timely resolutions and enhancing overall customer experience
Develop and maintain KPIs for sales performance, customer service efficiency, and operational effectiveness
Leverage data analysis and forecasting tools to provide actionable insights that inform leadership decisions
Generate and deliver reports on sales trends, customer feedback, process efficiency, and overall performance to senior management
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty
Act as the primary point of contact for customer accounts, ensuring seamless communication
Oversee assigned members of the sales administration team and act as a liaison between them and Sales Director, providing daily support and ensuring smooth operations

Skills and Experience

Strong understanding of sales operations, revenue strategy, and customer service management
Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and process automation
Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills
Ability to interpret sales and customer data to drive strategic insights
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities
Exceptional communication and leadership skills to oversee customer service functions
High attention to detail with analytical and reporting expertise
