Full job description

The Heritage offers a sophisticated elegance with impeccable hospitality set in wonderful un-spoilt Laois countryside. It comprises of a luxury world class Hotel and European Award Winning Spa. The Heritage also offers guests a number of on site activities such as our Health Club with Leisure Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and Steam rooms, 5km Walking Track and Cinema.

We are have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Reservations Team Lead to join our existing team!

MAIN DUTIES

To oversee the daily operations of the Reservations Department, ensuring maximum efficiency within the department and accuracy of work/tasks completed
To handle incoming telephone calls and email enquiries for individual and group reservations
To arrive on time for duty
Ensure all reservations are entered accurately into the Property Management System
To train & support team members within the reservations function
To handle guest queries, complaints and special requests efficiently and professionally
To ensure excellent customer service standards are consistently delivered amongst the Reservations team
To support with training colleagues in the Reservations/Front Office Teams
To support the day-to-day running of the Reservations Department, focusing on transient reservations
To support and guide the Front Office Team with reservations-related queries
To monitor booking activity ensuring correct selling techniques and conversion amongst the Reservation team
To maintain and update SOPs for Reservations Agents
To ensure completion of all daily reservation tasks prior to department close
To assist colleagues in the Reservations Team in a prompt and helpful manner
To be flexible in assisting various departments in the hotel in response to business and clients' needs
To maintain regular and effective communication within your team, and at all levels, to include attending briefing sessions when required
