Role Summary
CULLY is currently recruiting for a Commercial Sales Manager for our Commercial department. This full time, permanent role will be based at the Leixlip office, reporting to the Commercial Director and will include travel. This position is subject to a 6 month probationary period.
The purpose of this role is to negotiate and secure new business for CULLY from existing customers across all market segments. The role will involve identification and conversion of new sales prospects at proposed Local Authority and Irish Water facilities along with industrial and commercial sites with a focus on the water and wastewater sector. They will be responsible for developing key relationships with business owners, commercial end users, specifiers, and key stakeholders.
The role includes day-to-day responsibility for ongoing and timely customer engagement and opportunity identification, also the collection of key market insights and technical data with a view to developing leads as required. The role will be critical to the implementation and future sales development of the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and grow sales within the water and wastewater sector by strengthening existing customer relationships and securing new business opportunities.
- Identify, pursue and convert off-framework and strategic sales opportunities with key contractors, public sector bodies and national customers.
- Negotiate and close contracts, including preparation of proposals, quotations and service agreements in collaboration with internal teams.
- Maintain an active and accurate sales pipeline, ensuring all opportunities and customer interactions are logged and progressed through the CRM system.
- Build and manage strong relationships with Local Authorities, construction/design teams and key industry stakeholders.
- Lead and participate in client and project meetings, including preparation and circulation of meeting minutes where required.
- Provide technical guidance to customers and specifiers on product and technology solutions.
- Liaise with internal departments (Design, Project Management, Administration) to progress enquiries to order stage.
- Monitor market activity and gather commercial intelligence to support business development strategy.
- Produce regular business development reports and contribute to strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.

Skills Required
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical or solution-based sales environment.
- Familiarity with water and wastewater infrastructure (industry knowledge and connections advantageous).
- Background in engineering or a related technical discipline desirable.
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions clearly to a range of stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, business writing and consultative selling skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); CRM experience (e.g. Salesforce) advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills with a professional, customer-focused approach.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Professional business attire required.
