Full job description

Legal Assistant/Clerical Support

Pierse Fitzgibbon Solicitors LLP is the largest law firm in Kerry. It is an award-winning, well-established firm employing over 40 staff in Listowel, and due to continued growth it is looking to recruit a Legal Assistant/Clerical Officer for its very busy office.

This is a permanent fulltime role and is on-site.

Role description:

Support solicitors, manage own workload and prioritise work
Respond, on own initiative, to general queries and requests for information/assistance
Open new files, manage communications and post, task lists and case progression in Case Management System
Office administration duties – post, scanning, reception cover
Assist with taking instructions from new clients
Provide backup assistance to any other area of the firm when necessary

Training will be provided.

The ideal candidate must have:

Strong time management skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
The ability to work in a high-volume business and to respond to changing environments
The ability to multi-task, be highly motivated, positive and flexible
Excellent telephone and organisational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy
Good IT skills and proficient knowledge of all Microsoft applications
The ability to work as part of a team
Prior office/law firm experience is not essential

Pay: From €27,500.00 per year
