Lawnmower Mechanic – Part Time
A garden machinery distribution business based in Malahide, Co Dublin. We distribute garden machinery, 2-stroke hand power equipment, 4-stroke lawnmowers, garden tractors and 3-cylinder diesel grass cutters. We sell to dealer shops throughout Ireland and the UK. We also sell commercial equipment directly to commercial operators, including local authorities and landscapers.
As a member of our Workshop Team your primary tasks will be:
- Assessing various items of garden machinery - Chainsaws, Brush Cutters, Lawn Mowers, Garden Tractors, Zero Turns, Compact Tractors
- Servicing of garden machinery
- Fault finding problems
- Assembling new machines
- Keep accurate job cards and update our computer system.
Experience required
- Minimum 1 year’s workshop experience
- 2-stroke engines 4-Stroke engines from 125cc to 500cc
- Diesel 3 to 4-cylinder engines
- Welding
- Basic electrics for machinery
- Computer skills: Excel and email (Microsoft 365)
- Fluent English, attention to detail and processing of paperwork essential
- Works well in a team environment
Qualifications
- QQI level 4, Leaving Cert or equivalent
- Qualified or part qualified QQI mechanical apprenticeship
- Full clean drivers’ licence - own transport essential, due to location of our premises
Additional information:
Part-time, 3 days per week, on-site permanent role
Immediate start
Working hours Monday to Friday 08:15 to 17:00
Part-time hours are flexible.
