Croissantly Bakery is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, passionate baker to join our team.
This is a hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves artisan baking and can work confidently in a fast-paced bakery environment.
We are looking for someone skilled in viennoiserie, dough lamination, bread production, and pastry preparation, with the ability to work independently while also helping lead the team.
What you'll be doing:
- Producing high-quality croissants, viennoiserie, breads, pastries, buns, and seasonal specials
- Dough mixing, fermentation management, shaping, proofing, baking, and finishing
- Advanced lamination work and pastry production
- Managing daily production schedules efficiently
- Ordering ingredients and helping with stock control
- Supporting and guiding junior team members
- Bringing fresh ideas and helping develop new products
- Maintaining excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensuring consistency, quality, and attention to detail across all products
What we’re looking for:
✔ Proven bakery experience (artisan bakery preferred)
✔ Strong lamination & viennoiserie skills
✔ Bread-making knowledge (fermentation, shaping, baking)
✔ Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
✔ Leadership mindset — able to manage staff and production flow
✔ Creative and innovative with product development ideas
✔ Passionate, reliable, and highly motivated
✔ Comfortable with very early starts (typically 4 AM / 5 AM starts)
✔ Strong organisational and time management skills
✔ Team player with a positive attitude
✔ Full driving licence preferred
Bonus if you have:
- Experience with commercial bakery equipment
- Experience in artisan sourdough production
- Pastry finishing / dessert skills
- Previous team leadership experience
