We are seeking an experienced and driven QHSE & Continuous Improvement Manager to lead and develop our Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Continuous Improvement programmes across our manufacturing operation in Donegal.
Reporting to senior management, this role will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our integrated management systems, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and regulatory requirements, while driving a culture of operational excellence, Lean thinking and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Management
- Maintain and continuously improve the company's Quality Management System (ISO 9001).
- Lead internal and external audits and manage certification activities.
- Monitor quality performance metrics and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate non-conformances and customer complaints, implementing sustainable solutions.
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory and industry requirements.
Health, Safety & Environmental Management
- Lead and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits and environmental reviews.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a positive safety culture and employee engagement in HSE initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing
- Champion Lean Manufacturing principles throughout the business.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities to reduce waste, improve productivity and enhance operational performance.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, problem-solving workshops and improvement projects.
- Utilise Lean tools including:
- 5S
- Value Stream Mapping
- Root Cause Analysis
- A3 Problem Solving
- Standard Work
- Visual Management
- PDCA
- Track and report on improvement initiatives and savings achieved.
Process Management
- Map, review and optimise business processes across departments.
- Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Establish process performance measures and drive accountability.
- Support digitalisation and operational excellence initiatives.
Leadership & Training
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers and employees on QHSE and Lean best practices.
- Deliver training programmes to build continuous improvement capability throughout the organisation.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous learning.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Quality, HSE, Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
- Experience managing audits and compliance programmes.
- Demonstrated success delivering Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Desirable
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Lead Auditor qualification.
- NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations or related discipline.
