Fundraiser Co-ordinator – Partnership & Events
Part Time Contract
Applications are invited for the position of Fundraising Coordinator, Partnerships & Events with Good Shepherd Cork (GSC).
GSC works with women, children and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Our services include Edel House emergency shelter for women and children, family hub and outreach services for families who are homeless, long-term supported housing, accommodation for teenage girls, and community-based education, support and advocacy services.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative fundraiser to help grow community and corporate support for our work. The role will focus on building partnerships, developing fundraising initiatives, and coordinating community fundraising events and activities.
The position is part-time (20–24 hours per week), based in Cork. Some flexibility will be required, including occasional evening and weekend work to support events and partnership activities.
Essential Requirements
· Degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline and/or an accredited fundraising qualification (e.g., Diploma in Fundraising)
· Minimum of four years’ relevant experience, including planning and organising fundraising or marketing/publicity events
· Excellent interpersonal and teamworking skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Confident use of social media for promotional and fundraising purposes
· Full clean driving license
· A genuine interest in the work of GSC and commitment to our vision, mission and values
Role and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO, the successful candidate will:
· Develop a three year fundraising strategy to build corporate and community partnerships and deliver a programme of community fundraising events
· Build the profile of GSC through engaging fundraising materials, promotional content and effective use of social media
· Identify and engage new corporate partners, local businesses, community groups and other supporters across Cork City and County
· Develop relationship management plans to strengthen engagement and support implementation of fundraising activities
· Oversee the use of third party online platforms to maximise income and data capture
· Ensure all partners and supporters feel valued and understand the impact of their support
· Support GSC services in managing donations during the Christmas period
· Carry out other duties as required
