Accounts Payable Administrator

· Location: Cork, Ireland (Office-Based)

· Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

· Job Type: Full-Time

· Reporting To: Managing Director

About the Role

McGuckian Oils Ltd. is a family run business with a history of selling and distributing Home Heating Oils, Commercial Fuels, Agricultural Diesel and Lubricating Oils & Grease since 1989.

Based in Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork, we offer an efficient and friendly delivery service to local homes and businesses in Cork City, North Cork, East Cork and West Waterford on a daily basis.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Payroll Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing business. You will ensure the smooth running of our accounts payable department by managing the purchase ledger, VAT returns, and weekly payroll processes..

Core Responsibilities

Financial Administration

· Take ownership of end-to-end purchase ledger processes.

· Process supplier invoices and payments accurately.

· Manage and process all VAT returns.

· Process and reconcile bank and credit card transactions.

· Assist with annual audit documentation delivery.

Payroll & Office Support

· Process weekly payroll and employee expenses.

· Oversee general office administration and functions.

· Support administration staff with ad-hoc tasks.

· Collaborate across departments to improve system efficiencies.

Requirements & Skills

Experience & Qualifications

· Minimum 2 years of Office Administration experience, training on specialised Accounts package will be provided.

· Prior payroll management experience is an advantage.

Core Competencies

· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Highly organised with sharp attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Reliable, proactive, and able to multitask.
