We are currently seeking a passionate and highly skilled Assistant Sommelier.

Knowledge and experience in the following areas is essential:

A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a 5 Star Hotel as an Assistant Sommelier
Advanced certification in wine studies (e.g., Master Sommelier, Certified Sommelier) strongly preferred.

Personal Qualities

Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Be fluent in spoken and written English.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Duties include but are not exclusive to:

Collaborate closely with the restaurant team to pair wines with menu items and create memorable dining experiences for guests.
Proficiency in cellar management, inventory control, and financial analysis.
Uphold impeccable standards of service and hospitality, consistently exceeding guest expectations and fostering a culture of excellence among the staff.
Build key relationships with suppliers to ensure a creative wine list whilst achieving financial targets.
