Key Responsibilities:
Patrol and Surveillance:
- Conduct regular patrols of each building in the assigned area.
- Monitor for unauthorized persons, disturbances, vandalism, or other suspicious activities.
- Ensure all entry points (doors, windows) are secured.
- Ensure that you have an updated list of authorized residents for each property. Upon arrival, request Identification and log any unauthorized access attempts in patrol log.
Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to security alarms and incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Conduct initial investigations, gather information, and prepare incident reports on-site for further review by management.
- Liaise with Gardai Siochana/emergency services as necessary, acting as a point of contact during incidents and events.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Complete and submit detailed reports after each shift, documenting security incidents, safety concerns, and maintenance needs.
- Accurately record all unusual activities, alarms, and incidents.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all relevant safety procedures during the course of the shift.
- Follow emergency response procedures and respond to situations with composure and professionalism.
Experience: Prior experience in security or a related field is preferred.
Certification: A valid PSA Security Guard License is mandatory
Skills:
- Ability to remain alert and react quickly to any security issues or emergencies.
- Basic report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with security protocols and equipment.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential for effective communication.
- Always conduct in a professional manner.
- Be consistent and reliable.
- Comfortable in using Microsoft Office applications and other software as needed.
