Robinson Farm is a market garden producing vegetables year-round for two farmers’ markets in Cork City and Macroom. We are seeking a full-time Horticultural Worker to join our team for the 2026 growing season.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Vegetable production across the full growing cycle (propagation, transplanting and crop maintenance)
- Assisting with crop planning and succession planting
- Soil preparation, fertility management and sustainable growing practices
- Supervision and coordination of seasonal students and volunteers
- Harvesting, packing and preparation for farmers’ markets
- General maintenance of growing areas, polytunnels and equipment
- Assisting and/or leading other necessary farm operations
Desired qualifications and experience:
- A third-level qualification in horticulture, agriculture, environmental science or a related discipline, and/or
- A minimum of two years’ practical experience in vegetable production, market gardening or nursery-based horticulture
Skills and attributes:
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good level of physical fitness (lifting up to 20kg, bending and kneeling for extended periods)
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in local food and sustainable agriculture
This is a full-time, paid position based on-site just outside of Cloughduv, Co. Cork.
