Job Description – Dental Receptionist

Dental Care Ireland have an excellent opportunity for a Dental Receptionist to join our Sligo, Pearse Road practice. This is a part-time role, 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday.

1+ years' Dental/medical Receptionist experience required
This is a great opportunity to work alongside our experienced staff and Dentists in our exciting new Practice.

Reporting to: Practice Manager

Tasks and Responsibilities

Tasks and responsibilities
Greeting and registering patients on a day to day basis at the reception desk.
Providing information and reassurance to patients about their treatment.
Phone and email management throughout the day.
Daily cashing up exercise for the practice.
Appointment book management to ensure maximisation of working hours.
Providing support to clinicians by sending prescriptions, referral letters, x-rays.
Payor claim administration for GMS/PRSI/VHI/DeCare.
Claims and ensuring accuracy of claim forms.
Payment reconciliation.
Running daily, weekly and monthly reports from Exact.
Completion of various spreadsheets for accounts purposes (i.e. cash sheet, trackers etc).
Key holder duties.

Requirements:

1 years' medical/dental experience essential
Authorised to work in Ireland.
Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
Fluent in written and oral English.
Must have working knowledge in use of Microsoft Office 2000 or later, particularly Excel and Word, Internet and mail.
