Full job description

Location: Tyrrellspass, County Westmeath.

A position for an Accounts assistant- Part time short term contract - has arisen at our production plant in Tyrrellspass. Part time - Accounts Technician/ Accounts Assistant. Hours of Work: 16-20 hours per week

Role and Responsibilities

As an accounts assistant you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by performing a range of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

Assisting in daily accounting tasks such as data entry, invoice processing and recording financial transactions accurately
Produce weekly and month end bank reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
Provide necessary documentation and support during year end audit
Payroll processing
Providing general administrative support to the finance department
Any ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate by the management team

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements

Experience in a similar role (2 - 3 years' experience)
Experience using Sage and Brightpay software would be an advantage but not essential
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem- solving skills
Strong Excel skills are desirable
Organised and efficient with excellent attention to detail

Education: Leaving Certificate (preferred)
Experience: Accounting: 2 years (preferred)
