Working alongside our Pastry Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chef, you will help deliver a consistently exceptional experience for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality, creativity and presentation.
The Role
As Baker, you will be responsible for the daily production of breads, scones, pastries, and baked goods while supporting the smooth operation of the kitchen.
You will work collaboratively with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure exceptional quality, minimise waste, maintain food safety standards and contribute to menu development and seasonal concepts.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a range of high-quality breads, pastries, desserts and baked goods daily.

Coordinate and participate in all food production activities within the kitchen.

Maintain recipe consistency, portion control and food costing standards.

Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef on daily production planning and requirements.

Contribute to seasonal menus, daily specials and new bakery concepts.

Monitor food quality and ensure economical use of ingredients to minimise waste.

Ensure all food items are prepared and delivered in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation and food safety at all times.

Oversee HACCP compliance and maintain all required records.

Monitor stock rotation and ensure correct storage procedures are followed.

Ensure all kitchen equipment is used correctly and report maintenance issues promptly.

Participate actively in daily chef briefings, quality initiatives and team meetings.

Support the continuous improvement of training manuals and standard operating procedures.

Promote teamwork, professionalism and excellent communication throughout the kitchen operation.

Carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen or similar hospitality environment.

A passion for artisan baking and creating exceptional products.

Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP and kitchen hygiene standards.
