Full job description

Clarkes of Cavan is looking for an enthusiastic, technically minded and customer-focused person to join our team as an Robot Lawnmower Technician / Customer Support Specialist.

This is a varied role with responsibility for all things Robot Lawnmowers. You will become the main point of contact for our Automower customers, providing advice and support from initial enquiry right through to installation, troubleshooting and ongoing after-sales care.

The successful candidate will be comfortable dealing with customers both face-to-face and over the phone and will have a practical approach to solving problems. A large part of the role will involve speaking with customers on the phone, understanding the issue they are experiencing and talking them through the solution clearly and patiently.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for all Automower-related enquiries at Clarkes of Cavan.
Deal with customer calls and enquiries, providing friendly, professional and knowledgeable support.
Talk customers through Automower setup, operation, programming and general use over the phone.
Troubleshoot technical issues and identify potential faults.
Assist customers with app connectivity, settings, charging, boundary issues and other common Automower queries.
Attend customer sites when necessary to diagnose and resolve issues.
Follow up with customers after installations or repairs to ensure everything is working correctly.
Keep accurate records of customer queries, jobs, repairs and follow-up work.
Liaise with the parts team when technical or warranty issues arise.
Keep up to date with new Automower models, features, software and technology.
Help maintain a high standard of customer service and ensure customers receive ongoing support after their purchase.

About the Person

The ideal candidate will be practical, technically minded and confident dealing with people. You should enjoy solving problems and have the patience and communication skills to explain technical information in a way that customers can easily understand.

You will need to be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of customer issues and seeing them through to a satisfactory resolution.

Previous experience with Automowers, robotic lawnmowers, garden machinery, mechanical equipment, electrical equipment or similar technology would be an advantage.
