Full job description

Carleton Cakes is an Irish owned family company specializing in the production of pre-portioned tray-bakes for our Carleton brand and are also proud to have been selected as a manufacturing partner for the UK’s leading coffee chains and other selected partners.

We are seeking an Accounts Technician to join our successful and growing business. Reporting to the Accounts Manager, the successful candidate will provide efficient and effective assistance to the Accounts Manager in relation to the co-ordination, recording and reporting of financial activities along with administrative assistance as required.

Key Responsibilities

Debtors’ receipts, creditors payments and reconciliations across multiple entities
Bank reconciliations
Assisting in preparation of month end reports for auditors
Assisting in preparation of budgets and cashflows for the year ahead
VAT, Intrastat & VIES administration
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing
Respond to customer and supplier queries in an efficient and friendly manner with a solution orientated mindset
General administration and any ad hoc duties

Requirements

Qualified Accounting Technician or a Part-Qualified Accountant
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
Strong computer skills in MS Office suite in particular Excel essential
Previous experience using computerised accounts package preferably Sage
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
