Role Overview
The Sales & Account Coordinator is responsible for supporting sales operations, managing customer relationships, and assisting with business development activities across the McBreen Group.
The role combines office-based sales administration with field-based account management responsibilities, including customer meetings, site visits, quotation development, lead generation, account reviews, and business development support. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales & Marketing Team, Regional Account Managers, Commercial Team, Operations Team and customers to ensure a high standard of service delivery, customer satisfaction and commercial performance.
The role plays a key part in supporting customer retention, identifying opportunities for growth, and contributing to the achievement of the Company's sales and business development objectives.
Company transport will be provided when attending customer meetings and site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender, Quotations and Proposal Management:
- Prepare and compile documentation for quotations, proposals and tender submissions.
- Ensure all submissions meet customer requirements and company standards.
- Liaise with Commercial and Operations teams to gather information required for proposals and quotations.
- Assist with the preparation of supporting sales documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of quotations, tenders and proposal submissions.
- Support the development of competitive and profitable commercial solutions.
Pricing and Cost Analysis:
- Analyse and interpret cost sheets to determine appropriate rates for various clients based on their needs and project specifications.
- Maintain an understanding of rate structures and develop bespoke pricing models to support business development initiatives.
- Price defects and recommend necessary repairs, with consideration for profitability and client satisfaction.
Technical and Operational Knowledge:
- Develop a working knowledge of drainage systems, environmental services and associated operations.
- Read and interpret maps, drawings and schematics.
- Understand operational capabilities, resource requirements and service delivery constraints.
- Develop an understanding of crew capacity and project scheduling requirements.
- Work closely with Operations to ensure customer expectations are aligned with service delivery capabilities.
- Support accurate planning and costing through a practical understanding of operational requirements.
Salesforce Leads and CRM Management:
- Manage customer interactions and opportunities within Salesforce.
- Identify, update and nurture sales leads.
- Track customer engagement and quotation opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of customer communications, meetings and sales activities.
- Generate reports and updates on pipeline activity and sales performance.
- Ensure customer information remains accurate and up to date.
- Monitor lead progression and support conversion of opportunities into sales.
Bill of Quantities (BOQ) Management:
- Develop an understanding of BOQ preparation and review.
- Support accurate measurement and allocation of costs.
- Analyse BOQs to maximise pricing opportunities.
- Ensure quotations accurately reflect project scope and customer requirements.
- Support the commercial review process for larger projects and tenders.
Customer Engagement and Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Understand customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Promote maintenance contracts, additional services and cross-selling opportunities.
- Respond professionally and promptly to customer enquiries.
- Support customer retention and satisfaction initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication with key customers to ensure service expectations are achieved.
Account Management & Business Development
- Manage and support assigned customer accounts.
- Conduct customer meetings and site visits to assess customer requirements and service needs.
- Review existing account performance, pricing structures and service level agreements.
- Identify opportunities for account growth, service improvements and additional revenue generation.
- Support the development and retention of long-term customer relationships.
- Conduct account reviews and provide recommendations to improve customer satisfaction and account profitability.
- Work closely with Operations and Commercial teams to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing customer accounts.
- Assist in developing strategies to increase customer retention and contract value.
- Represent McBreen Environmental professionally during customer meetings, site visits and business development activities.
Lead Generation & Sales Development:
- Proactively follow up on outstanding quotations.
- Generate and qualify new sales opportunities.
- Conduct outbound customer calls and business development activities.
- Arrange meetings and site visits for Regional Account Managers where required.
- Develop strategies to improve quotation conversion rates.
- Support sales campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting on quotation performance, lead activity and business development opportunities.
Key Competencies:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze cost sheets, BOQs, and other financial documents to produce competitive pricing.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy in tender submissions, pricing models, and client documentation.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read maps, interpret technical schematics, and understand the principles of drainage systems.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems for managing leads and client communications.
- Problem-Solving: Capable of identifying issues and providing practical solutions that meet both operational and client needs.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience in sales support or administration.
- Familiarity with tendering and quoting within environmental, construction, or industrial sectors is advantageous.
- Knowledge of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and service pricing is a plus.
