Gym and Group Fitness Instructor Role at The Watershed, Kilkenny

We have a vacancy for a permanent Gym and Group Fitness Class Instructor, working up to thirty nine hours per week. This will involve shift work, including early mornings from 7am, evenings until 10pm and weekends on rotation.

Previous experience working as a Gym and Fitness Class Instructor is required.

A small amount of administration work and record keeping will be required, full training will be provided.

Maintaining a clean and hygienic gym environment is also an element of this role. The Gym team are responsible for ensuring that all areas in their department are checked, cleaned and maintained to a set schedule and standard.

The ideal candidate should:

Be able to provide evidence of appropriate qualification and demonstrate a history of teaching a range of popular, contemporary and successful fitness classes
Possess the motivation to be an active presence on the gym floor, supporting and advising users of varying experience, fitness levels, abilities and objectives
Hold a passion for maintaining personal and operational standards at the highest level

Please note:

Part of the selection process will include the candidate conducting a practical assessment where the candidate will deliver a short fitness here on site at The Watershed
Please note that we can only accept applications from candidates currently permanently resident in Ireland as the candidate must deliver a fitness class on site during the selection process and we are not able to provide assistance with relocation or work permits
