Key Roles & Responsibilities
v Diagnostic Technicians (Skoda & Hyundai Focus):
o Perform advanced diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and complex repairs on Skoda & Hyundai vehicles.
o Utilize OEM diagnostic tools (e.g., ODIS, GDS, TechMan) to resolve technical issues.
o Address powertrain, ADAS, infotainment, and electrical system faults.
o Mentor junior technicians and uphold brand-specific standards.
v General Technician (Citroën Focus):
o Conduct routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs across all brands (Citroën experience preferred).
o Train in Citroën systems via accredited courses.
o Support diagnostic teams.
All Technicians Will:
- Execute daily workshop tasks (servicing, repairs, diagnostics) to meet OEM standards and KPI’s.
- Maintain accurate job cards, warranty documentation, and service records.
- Adhere to health/safety protocols.
- Collaborate with service advisors to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
Essential Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Relevant trade certification (e.g., NQF Level 6, QQI Level 6 or equivalent certification).
- Diagnostic Techs: 3+ years’ experience with Skoda or Hyundai, including advanced diagnostics.
- General Tech: 2+ years’ broad technical experience; Citroën familiarity advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with OEM diagnostic tools (e.g., VCDS, GDS, DiagBox).
- Expertise in engine management, transmission, electrical systems, and hybrid/electric vehicles.
- Full & clean driving licence.
- Attributes:
- Adaptable to new technologies and OEM training.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Skoda / Hyundai/ Citroën franchise training.
- EV/hybrid system certification.
- Experience in multi-brand workshops.
