Purpose Statement
Responsible for end to end processing payroll for a large manufacturing workforce, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The role supports payroll operations for both hourly and salaried employees, maintains compliance with applicable legislation and company policies, and handles highly sensitive and confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Process payroll transactions for hourly and salaried employees in accordance with established procedures and payroll schedules.
Support payroll and time & attendance activities by maintaining employee records and assisting with routine system-related queries.
Investigate and resolve standard payroll and time-related issues, escalating more complex matters as appropriate.
Assist with the administration of the payroll and time & attendance systems, including testing and validation activities when required.
Follow documented payroll procedures and support the maintenance of payroll process documentation.
Accurately enter, maintain, and validate employee and payroll data within payroll and HR systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, SD Worx).
Process and verify payroll transactions in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Communicate with employees, managers, and internal stakeholders to obtain or provide payroll-related information.
Generate, maintain, and file payroll documentation to ensure accurate records and audit readiness.
Prepare and post payroll journals to the general ledger, reconcile payroll-related accounts, and process payroll accruals and cross-charges to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with month-end close requirements.
Support payroll audits, compliance activities, and month-end reporting requirements as needed.
Assists other areas of finance as assigned by supervisor.
Education & Job Skills
(Experience/Education)
IPASS qualification or National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) level 6 qualification in a relevant discipline. 2+ years of related work experience in a payroll role.

Applies solid knowledge of business concepts, procedures and practices, and a complete understanding fundamentals in a functional area, and working knowledge of other related disciplines. Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
