Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and organised Van Driver & Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out deliveries and collections throughout Dublin and Ireland, assisting with warehouse operations, and ensuring goods are packed, loaded, and delivered safely and efficiently.

This role combines driving duties with general warehouse support and would suit someone who enjoys a varied, hands-on position.

Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Deliveries

Carry out deliveries to customers throughout Dublin and occasionally nationwide.
Collect goods, materials, and supplies from suppliers and manufacturers.
Ensure deliveries and collections are completed on time and in a professional manner.
Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain accurate delivery records.
Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues.

Warehouse Duties

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
Assist with receiving and checking incoming stock.
Organise and maintain warehouse storage areas.
Help with stock counts and inventory management.
Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, and safe at all times.

General Support

Assist production and operations teams as required.
Handle goods with care to prevent damage.
Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers and suppliers.

RequirementsEssential

Full clean Irish driving licence (Category B).
Previous driving or delivery experience.
Good knowledge of Dublin roads and route planning.
Ability to lift and move goods safely.
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Good communication skills.
Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
Forklift certification (an advantage but not essential).
Experience using delivery or inventory management systems.
The successful candidate must be flexible with working hours, as daily schedules may vary, with differing start and finish times and workloads depending on operational requirements.
