You will support our team as a:
- Play a key role in driving our continuous improvement culture by leading Lean implementation initiatives across the site
- Champion Lean methodologies by facilitating Kaizen events, delivering Lean systems training, and embedding visual management practices throughout the organisation
- Lead the implementation and ongoing development of Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) boards across manufacturing cells to drive operational excellence
- Conduct 5S audits, time observations, and line balancing activities to identify opportunities for improved efficiency and productivity
- Develop and maintain current-state Value Stream Maps for key manufacturing processes, supporting data-driven improvement initiatives
- Coach and mentor colleagues in Lean principles and structured problem-solving techniques, including Root Cause Analysis, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa methodologies
- Identify and eliminate waste across manufacturing operations using Lean principles and the TIMWOOD framework
- Embed GROWTTH and Lean Business methodologies into everyday ways of working, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement
- Partner with cross-functional teams to successfully deliver improvement projects that enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Ensure all process improvements are implemented in compliance with Quality Management Systems, regulatory requirements, and Health, Safety, Environmental, and Energy Management standards
- Promote a proactive safety-first culture by ensuring potential risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated before implementing change
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Life Sciences, or a related discipline
- Experience within a manufacturing environment, with practical exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Operational Excellence, Manufacturing Engineering, or Process Engineering
- Hands-on experience supporting or delivering Lean initiatives such as Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, MDI, SMED, or structured problem-solving methodologies
- Lean or Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or Black Belt) is advantageous but not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement and a proactive approach to learning and development
- Experience within a regulated manufacturing environment, ideally medical devices, is advantageous
- Applications are welcomed from both early-career and experienced professionals with practical Lean and Continuous Improvement experience
