Full job description

We are seeking an energetic and motivated Part-Time Fitness Instructor to join our team. This role is supported by the Pobal CSP programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality fitness services and ensuring a safe, welcoming, and clean environment for all members of the community.

Key Responsibilities

Instruction: Deliver high-quality fitness classes, personal training sessions, and children's activities.
Programming: Prepare personalised fitness programs for members and conduct monthly reviews to track progress.
Health & Safety: Maintain high standards of safety for all visitors, including performing regular checks on gym equipment.
Cleaning Duties: Ensure a clean and professional environment by assisting with regular cleaning of the gym and community centre site.
Promotion & Social Media: Use Canva and social media platforms to assist in designing and promoting facility activities and events.
Customer Care: Maintain high levels of customer service and assist with member queries.
Compliance: Familiarise yourself with relevant Pobal CSP policies to ensure the facility operates within program guidelines.

Requirements & Hours

Qualifications: Must hold a recognised Gym Instructor Qualification and be qualified to lead group classes.
Certification: A valid First Aid and AED Certificate is essential.
Experience: Previous experience in the health and fitness industry is preferred.
Initiative: We are looking for a self-starter with the initiative to improve services and engage with the local community.
Hours: Part-time hours; availability for evening shifts is required to facilitate peak class times.
Growth Opportunity: This role initially starts as part-time with the potential to become a full-time position based on performance and facility growth.
