Full job description

As Bakery Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of the bakery, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional customer service, and maintaining the high standards Jake's Bakery is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the bakery and retail area.
Lead, motivate, and develop a team of bakery and front-of-house staff.
Create staff rotas and manage scheduling.
Ensure outstanding customer service at all times.
Monitor stock levels and place supplier orders.
Maintain food safety, HACCP, and health & safety standards.
Manage cash handling and daily reconciliation.
Work closely with the bakery production team to ensure product availability.
Monitor sales and identify opportunities to improve performance.
Recruit, train, and onboard new team members when required.
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming bakery environment.

What We're Looking For

Previous management or supervisory experience in a bakery, café, food retail, or hospitality environment.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
A passion for food, customer service, and quality.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures.
Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends where required.
