Molloys Lifestyle Group, a dynamic community Pharmacy group based in the West of Ireland, are currently seeking an experienced Retail Pharmacy Manager, based in Ballina, co Mayo
Role Overview:
This is a fast paced and varied role that would be ideally suited to an individual with previous Retail Management experience looking to develop their career.
The position will require availability to work some weekends, Bank Holidays and some evenings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with the team to achieve quarterly financial targets (KPI’s) in relation to sales, wages, overheads;non-financial KPIs, till cash reconciliation, and all others
- Implement Store Weekly Checklists and ensure these points are actioned weekly and issues reports to HO including hours worked.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure ordering is completed in line with purchasing procedures;
- Develop business strategies with key persons to increase customer base, expand store traffic and optimize profitability by reporting on buying trends, customer needs and proposing ideas to increase market share;
- Ensure Excellent Customer Service is consistently achieved, and customer queries and complaints are handled appropriately;
- Develop high standards of Product Knowledge and inform staff of products on promotion and encourage staff to get customers to try new products;
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all legislation as it pertains to the store, in particular Sale and Supply of medication and supplements, Health and Safety Regulations, Employment Legislation, etc;
- Ensure merchandising and presentation of the store is of the highest standard and use opportunities to develop themed events;
- Adhere to all policies and procedures and ensure all staff adhere to company rules, policies and procedures including standards of appearance; Fully implement the Code of Conduct and ensure all staff understand and accept security procedures
- Provide the necessary Leadership in the store to drive the business and maximise the output of all people resources
- Develop new and existing members of staff and the management team
- Complete all Appraisals thoroughly for your team, agreeing objectives which drive the Business and identify appropriate training needs;
- Cultivate a constructive challenging dynamic across the team which Is performance driven and ensures consistent high standards and promote the company culture
- Carry out other additional duties as required.
Essential Criteria:
- Previous Retail Management experience essential.
- Excellent communication and 'people' skills.
- A strong commitment to customer service.
- The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
- Confidence, drive and enthusiasm.
