Queenan Kitchens is looking for a 1st Year Apprentice Cabinetmaker to join our team in Ballina.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting out in the trade who wants to learn cabinetmaking in a modern kitchen manufacturing environment and build a long-term career in the industry.
We would also be interested in hearing from 2nd or 3rd year apprentices who are looking for an opportunity to continue their apprenticeship with Queenan Kitchens.
What You’ll Learn
Working alongside our experienced team, you will gain hands-on experience in:
- Manufacturing and assembling kitchen cabinets
- Cutting, edging and assembling components
- Using woodworking machinery
- Working with CNC machinery
- Reading drawings and job specifications
- Preparing kitchens and cabinetry for installation
- General workshop duties and maintenance
- Producing high-quality work to customer specifications
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and willing to learn
- Interested in cabinetmaking and woodworking
- Practical and hands-on
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Keen to develop new skills
- Attentive to detail
- Punctual and hardworking
Own transport to and from our Ballina workshop is essential.
Previous experience is not required for a 1st year apprentice — the most important thing is a good attitude and a genuine interest in learning the trade.
