Full job description

We are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our expanding MDT team of Psychologists, occupational therapists and Speech and Language Therapists in Portmarnock. This position can be full time or part time. This role would be a hybrid of on site and remote working.

The successful candidates will be offered continuing professional development and weekly supervision and work as part of a dynamic team.

Carrying out assessment and therapeutic intervention
Liaising with clients, family members, carers and other staff
Onward referral to other members of the MDT where necessary
Keeping detailed clinical notes and drafting reports on client assessments, intervention and progress.

Essential criteria

Degree in Speech and Language therapy
Candidates must be motivated, adaptive and creative with a passion for engaging with clients across a mixed and varied caseload on a daily basis. Candidates should be eager to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, self-driven and focused
CORU registered or be able to show proof of pending registration
Relevant post qualification or under-graduate placement experience in a paediatric/disability setting
Eligible to work in Ireland
Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle
Excellent communication skills - oral and written
Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to work as part of a team
Excellent time management skills
Good IT and computer skills
Effective use of reflective practice/supervision process
Some flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the needs of the service

Desirable criteria

Post graduate qualification and experience
Experience of developing and running groups for parents/ children

SLT Salary is paid in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales.

Pay: From €45,514.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Portmarnock, County Dublin
