An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Senior to join our Payroll team, delivering outsourced payroll services to clients across a wide range of industry sectors with diverse payroll requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Process weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls accurately and within strict deadlines for a portfolio of clients
Liaise with clients to collect payroll information, resolve queries, and provide an efficient and professional service
Manage payroll changes including starters, leavers, tax certificates, BIK calculations, pensions, and statutory deductions
Prepare PAYE, PRSI, and EFT payment files while ensuring compliance and confidentiality
Generate and review payroll reports prior to distribution to clients
Support the Payroll Manager across multiple client accounts and payroll cycles
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation within the company archiving system
Keep up to date with payroll legislation and implement required updates
Carry out payroll administration and general office duties in a fast-paced professional environment

Core Skills/ Attributes

High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Confident communicator with strong client relationship skills
Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
Strong administrative and document management skills
Ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team

Qualifications

3 years’ payroll experience in a fast-paced office environment
Strong working knowledge of MS Excel
Experience using payroll software such as Quantum or similar platforms
Ability to work independently and manage deadlines accurately
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
IPASS qualification or similar payroll certification desirable but not essential

This is a fully office-based role in our Athlone office, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.
