As part of an exciting period of growth and investment, including the development of a new 90,000 sq ft distribution facility and continued digital transformation across the business, we are looking to expand our in-house marketing and digital team.This is an opportunity to join a fast-moving, ambitious company where digital platforms play a central role in customer experience, product presentation, and commercial growth.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Web Designer & Digital Executive to join our in-house marketing team at Whiteriver Group, supporting our three brands: Whiteriver, Seadec, and Floorstock.
Working alongside our design team, you will take ownership of our digital ecosystem — including websites, product data sheets, digital assets, and internal platforms. This role combines design, development, UX, content structure, and system management.
You will also work cross-functionally with sales, technical, procurement teams and directors to ensure all digital platforms reflect up-to-date product and commercial priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Website Design & Development
- Design, develop, and maintain websites across all group brands
- Implement new pages, product launches, and campaign landing pages
- Ensure consistency in branding, layout, and user experience
- Continuously improve navigation, structure, and usability
UX/UI & Performance Optimisation
- Analyse user behaviour and improve conversion paths
- Optimise speed, responsiveness, and accessibility
- Apply UX/UI best practices across all platforms
- Conduct testing and recommend improvements
Product & Content Management
- Keep all websites up to date with new products, imagery, and technical data
- Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure accuracy
- Maintain structured, scalable, and consistent product content across platforms
Digital Asset & Image Library Management
- Organise and maintain a centralised library of high-resolution product images
- Ensure all assets are properly named, categorised, and easily accessible
- Maintain a complete and up-to-date product archive (images, specs, documentation)
- Collaborate with the design team to ensure assets are production-ready
- Continuously improve asset organisation systems and workflows
SEO & Analytics
- Improve on-page and technical SEO across all websites
- Monitor performance using analytics tools
- Produce regular reports with insights and recommendations
- Identify opportunities to increase traffic and conversions
Systems & Digital Infrastructure
- Support the new Product Information Management (PIM) system
- Maintain and update the company intranet
- Assist with updates and improvements to the company mobile app
- Ensure integration and consistency across website, PIM, and internal systems
IT & Internal Support
- Provide day-to-day IT support to staff (basic hardware/software issues)
- Troubleshoot website and system-related issues
- Liaise with external IT providers when necessary
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Identify and fix bugs and technical issues
- Ensure websites are secure, updated, and performing optimally
- Carry out regular audits and preventative maintenance
Collaboration & Reporting
- Report directly to the Marketing Manager & Lead Designer
- Take direction on creative and strategic priorities from the marketing team
- Gather feedback from sales teams to improve product presentation and usability
- Collaborate with company directors on key digital initiatives and improvements
- Act as a central point of coordination for digital updates across departments
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in web design and front-end development
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress or similar)
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles
- Experience managing large volumes of content and assets
- Good understanding of SEO best practices
Desirable
- Experience with e-commerce platforms
- Familiarity with PIM systems or large product databases
- Basic back-end development knowledge (PHP, APIs, databases)
- Experience managing digital asset libraries
- Experience supporting internal systems or IT
