We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Shop Manager in our Arboretum Kilquade Store.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Work alongside the Management Team in leading and motivating the store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
- Assist in the day-to-day management of store operations, including stock control, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Help drive sales performance across all departments through strong product knowledge and proactive customer engagement.
- Ensure the highest standards of visual merchandising, presentation, and store maintenance in line with the Arboretum brand.
- Act as a point of contact for customer enquiries, resolving issues professionally and maintaining service excellence.
- Support staff training, development, and onboarding to foster a positive and high-performing team environment.
- Collaborate with management to implement promotions, seasonal displays, and customer experience initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
- Step into leadership responsibility in the absence of the Retail Manager to maintain smooth store operations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous supervisory or assistant management experience in a retail environment.
- Is passionate about exceptional customer service and building strong customer relationships.
- Has excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Leads by example with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and collaborative approach.
- Has commercial awareness and an interest in retail trends, sales performance, and visual presentation.
- Enthusiasm for nature and sustainability is a strong advantage.
