Full job description

Located at the heart of Waterford city, the family owned 4* Granville Hotel is looking for a dedicated person to join it's Front Office team

The ideal candidate for this position:

Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel required
Must be flexible, enjoy a challenge, and is able to work outside the comfort zone while maintaining the ability to be objective and positive
Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
Must be a team player with the ability to multi task
Must be standards driven and detail orientated, with the desire to progress.
Maintain a professional image at all times through appearance
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be knowledgeable in using technology tools and resources

Key Responsibilities:

To ensure high levels of customer service, attention to detail and standards are delivered consistently at Reception
To assist in the co-ordination of all guest requests and special needs as they arise
To overlook, assist in training, monitor and motivate the Front Office Team
To manage the Reception rota, in the absence of the Manager
To review of existing standards and procedures while implementing new best practices to ensure a seamless delivery of Front of House Services
To assist managing the implementation for any change or upgrade in software systems
To assist in managing the accounting side of the Front of House operation (e.g., house accounts, credit cards, petty cash)
To develop a strong working relationship with colleagues in your department and related departments
