Donohoe Drinks Company are seeking applications from qualified Maintenance Mechanical Fitter Engineering team at our Waterford plant. This role has an exciting opportunity to join an established energetic company in the dynamic and growing alcoholic beverages sector.
What you'll do..

Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on high-speed production lines and plant equipment

Diagnose mechanical faults, troubleshoot equipment issues, and carry out repairs in a timely manner to minimise downtime
-
Assist with the setup, installation, commissioning, and validation of production equipment and machinery
-
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in accordance with company procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete all relevant documentation
-
Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability, efficiency, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).

Identify recurring equipment issues and utilise root cause analysis techniques to implement long-term corrective actions
-
Recommend and implement improvements to machinery, processes, and maintenance practices
-
Work closely with the Engineering Manager to plan maintenance activities and shutdown work
-
Assist in defining maintenance scopes of work and ensuring required spare parts and consumables are available
-
Coordinate and supervise external contractors and equipment vendors when required, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification
-
Develop a thorough understanding of all relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), equipment controls, and machine operating requirements.

Become proficient in machine operation to effectively support production teams

Assist in training machine operators on equipment setup, fault identification, troubleshooting, adjustments, and basic maintenance practices
-
Support production teams in achieving quality, efficiency, and output targets
-
Work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
-
Participate fully in training, cross-skilling, upskilling, and professional development activities
-
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of quality, performance, and operational excellence
-
Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work at all times
-
Promote a strong safety culture and report any hazards, near misses, or unsafe conditions
-
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with quality standards and food/beverage industry best practices
-
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within engineering and production areas
-
Assist with the installation and commissioning of new production equipment, working alongside Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) where required
-
Undertake any other reasonable duties as assigned by the your manager
This role operates on a two cycle shift 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm Monday to Friday with a 25% shift allowance.
What you'll have..

Trades Qualified, (Mechanical) with strong production knowledge.

Minimum of 3 years experience within a production maintenance environment

Excellent troubleshooting skills.

Team player with 'can and will do' attitude.

Multi-tasking skills and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
