Full-Time Boutique Sales Assistant & Back Office Assistant
We are looking for an experienced, friendly and enthusiastic Full-Time Boutique Sales Assistant & Back Office Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ retail experience, with a strong background in customer service and sales. This is a varied role combining hands-on boutique sales and customer service with stock management, receiving deliveries and general back-office administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with customers
- Assisting customers with product selection, sizing and styling
- Driving sales and achieving excellent customer service standards
- Operating the till and processing transactions
- Receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Unpacking, tagging and organising new stock
- Preparing stock for the shop floor and maintaining stock levels
- Keeping the boutique clean, organised and presented to a high standard
- Assisting with stock control and inventory management
- Completing general back-office and administrative duties
- Using Microsoft Word and Excel for stock and administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate records and assisting with general paperwork
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the boutique
- Working independently while also being a strong team player
The Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years’ retail experience
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Confident and professional when dealing with customers
- Competent in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good computer and administrative skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
- Passionate about fashion and delivering a high standard of customer service
- Well-presented, approachable and enthusiastic
Previous experience in fashion or boutique retail would be highly advantageous.
About the Role
This position would suit someone who enjoys a varied role and is equally comfortable working with customers on the shop floor as they are completing stock, delivery and administrative duties in the back office.
We are looking for someone who can take responsibility, work efficiently and become an important part of the day-to-day running of the boutique.
