.We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician / Dispenser to join our expanding team in Thurles, Co. TipperaryThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous pharmacy experience who thrives in a busy community setting and enjoys delivering high-quality customer service. The candidate must have excellent organisational skills and must be a good team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide healthcare advice and assist customers with their queries.
- Support the dispensary team and ensure efficient handling of prescriptions.
- Manage stock, process transactions, and assist with daily pharmacy operations.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Advise customers on community drug schemes, such as the Medical Card, DPS, and LTI.
Criteria:
- Previous experience working in an Irish community pharmacy is essential.
- Knowledge of Irish community drug schemes and SOPs.
- Preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist
- Providing appropriate OTC medicines
- Patient counselling
- Competent in blister packing patient medications
- Maintaining good stock control and ordering from correct suppliers
- Competent with PCRS claims and payments
- Ordering from the High Tech hub and managing queries relating to orders
- Competent with Healthmail
