This is a hands-on technical role where ideas meet reality.
You will take product concepts and make them work on the line, at scale, and to the highest standards.
At WaterWipes, you’ll sit at the centre of both innovation and execution, working across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and R&D to bring new products to life and improve the ones we already have. You will own line trials end-to-end, translate product briefs into practical manufacturing plans, and solve issues as they happen on the floor.
From the start, you will be close to the factory, learning how trials are planned, how products are built, and how decisions are made. Within a few months, you will be expected to run trials independently, make calls in real time, and report outcomes back to the business.
This is a role where things would not always go to plan. We are looking for someone who can think on their feet, adapt quickly, and keep moving forward.
Delivering new product introductions from concept through to full manufacturing scale-up
Translating product briefs into clear, practical trial plans and manufacturable specifications
Planning, coordinating, and executing line trials end-to-end, working with Planning, Operations, Engineering, and Quality to make them happen
Owning trial execution on the floor, including leading activity, directing stakeholders, and ensuring the trial runs as intended
Analysing trial data, drawing clear conclusions, and reporting outcomes back to the business in a structured way
Troubleshooting in real time, adapting trials when things go wrong and finding workable solutions rather than stopping progress
Identifying and implementing process improvements, whether linked to NPI, efficiency, or operational issues raised by production
Supporting investigations and problem-solving on existing products, including complaints or recurring manufacturing issues
Managing multiple trials and projects at once, often with competing priorities and short lead times
Building strong working relationships across Operations, Quality, Engineering, and the wider technical team to align and deliver outcomes
Maintaining accurate, detailed documentation, trial protocols, specifications, and reports, with a high level of attention to detail
Ensuring all products and processes meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements
Contributing to continuous improvement, value engineering, and packaging development initiatives
This role is for someone who is comfortable being on the factory floor and accountable for delivery, not just supporting from the sidelines.
You will likely have:
Hands-on experience in manufacturing (ideally FMCG ), where you understand how products are made in practice, not just in theory
Experience running trials, process improvements, or similar technical activities where you have had to coordinate across teams and deliver outcomes
A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product validation, and working within quality standards
The ability to plan and organise work effectively, especially when managing multiple trials or projects at the same time
High attention to detail when documenting trials, analysing results, and reporting outcomes back to stakeholders
Confidence working cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Planning to make things happen
You could come from quality, engineering, operations, or product development, but you must be practical, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
This role will suit someone who:
Takes initiative
Is confident speaking with both operators on the floor and senior stakeholders
Can push back when needed and make decisions during trials
Is comfortable dealing with ambiguity and last-minute changes
Learns quickly and wants to build capability in a role where they will be trusted to deliver early
You take ownership and run trials end-to-end
You manage multiple priorities, even when plans change, or timelines tighten
You stay calm when things go wrong and focus on fixing issues, not stopping progress
You think on your feet, making decisions in the moment or pulling in the right people when needed
You turn product briefs into clear, practical trial plans and execute them effectively
You communicate clearly on the floor and with stakeholders at all levels
You are hands-on, present, and comfortable leading activity in a live manufacturing environment
You maintain strong attention to detail in trial execution and reporting
Success means you can independently plan, run, adapt, and report on trials.
We operate with high standards and clear expectations.
You will be given real ownership from the start, running trials, making decisions, and delivering outcomes that are visible on the factory floor. This is not a role where work sits in documents, what you do will directly impact how products are made and improved every day.
You will join a close-knit technical team where people step up, take initiative, and support each other to get things done. There is a strong focus on practical execution, solving problems, improving processes, and moving work forward at pace.
This role also gives you exposure across the full manufacturing environment. You will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Planning, building experience that goes beyond a typical product or lab-based role.
If you want to develop quickly, take real responsibility, and build capability in a hands-on manufacturing environment, this role gives you that platform.
