Full job description

MMM Clinic is a busy general practice based in Mount Merrion, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.

Our team consists of three doctors along with a multidisciplinary team.

We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced part-time medical receptionist / secretary.

Requirements:

Previous GP Practice Reception experience a distinct advantage, but otherwise experience in a similar busy front-of-house role is essential
Experience of using computer software systems is essential along with the capability to adapt to new systems
A reliable individual with a strong understanding of the importance of time-keeping and confidentiality.
A motivated individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative but equally as part of a team.
Excellent telephone manner, communication and interpersonal skills required
Excellent organisational skills
The ability to manage patient needs / expectations in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task and prioritise

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

Reception duties - phones, meet and greet patients / visitors of practice
Scheduling appointments
Dealing with patient queries face to face and all telephone queries including orders for prescriptions, social welfare certificates, medical card enquiries etc
Responsible for taking all payments coming into the practice, cashing up and balancing books
Scanning of documents, mail etc onto patient files
Attending to emails (both gmail and healthmail)

Experience Required:

Medical reception / administration experience is a distinct advantage but, if none, applicants with experience in a similar pressurised front-of-house role will be considered.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure
Excellent communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: €18.00 per hour
