Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of a company director and contribute to various project phases, including planning, design, and implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to grow their career in engineering consulting from a junior role.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
Conduct research and gather data for project development.
Perform calculations and analysis to support engineering decisions.
Participate in site visits and inspections.
Document project activities and maintain records.
Collaborate with team members and project management of design team.
Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Relevant Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Structural).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong report writing, proofing and word processing skills.
Strong spreadsheet skills, programming knowledge a bonus.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools (e.g. Civil 3D, Revit, Infodrainage, Robot Structural Analysis).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Eagerness to learn and grow professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

3-5 years experience in an engineering field.
Knowledge of relevant codes and regulations.
Familiarity with project management principles.
