About the Company: Tadhg O’Connor Ltd is one of Limerick’s largest retailers with a complete offering from foundations to furnishings. Established in 1978, this family run business now operates three stores in Co. Limerick, a builder’s providers in both Rathkeale and Newcastle West as well as a state of the art 30,000 square foot Electrical and Furniture showroom in Rathkeale. Employing almost 80 staff this business has grown from strength to strength over the years and is widely recognised as a great place to work.

ROLE: STOCK CONTROLLER

ROLE SUMMARY: Reporting to the Branch Retail & Operations Managers the Stock Controller will be responsible for the effective coordination and execution of scheduled Stock Cycle Counting.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completion and co ordination of Stock Cycle Counts
Monitoring Negative Stock and keeping to a minimum
Preparation of Stock Management Plan
Working with Management and sales team to minimise aged stock.
Updating stock information on the computer system.
Compiling Daily Reports and addressing Inventory discrepancies
Monitoring Stock levels in branches in cooperation with Purchasing team.
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation and ensuring these relationships are maintained to the highest standards.
Ensure stock levels reflect business requirements.
Continuously work to identify and lead process improvements

ACCOUNTABILITY

Ensure stock levels reflect business requirements.
Provide administration support to Financial Controller and Branch Managers
Ensure that all Stock processes are best in line with best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years Stock management experience.
Detailed knowledge of Stock Management and procedures.
High level of proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint

PERSON PROFILE

Highly organised, energetic, enthusiastic person with attention to detail when performing tasks, ability to anticipate and manage problems with ability to prioritize and escalate where necessary.
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent communications skills including verbal, written and presentation
