As the Big Red Slide Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the action – overseeing the daily operation of the attraction, leading a team of Slide Instructors, and ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable experience in a safe and controlled environment.

Your Mission
To safely and efficiently manage the daily operation of Big Red by leading a team of Slide Instructors, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, fun and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership
- Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture at all times.
- Ensure all operational procedures, safety protocols and emergency action plans are followed.
- Deliver and oversee engaging safety briefings for guests.
- Conduct daily attraction inspections and operational checks.
- Monitor participant suitability and ensure all attraction rules are adhered to.
- Respond to and manage incidents, accidents and emergency situations professionally and effectively.
- Complete and review accident, incident and near-miss reports.
- Ensure first aid and emergency equipment is maintained and readily available.
- Participate in and lead emergency drills and safety exercises.
Team Leadership
- Supervise, motivate and support a team of Slide Instructors.
- Allocate daily duties and ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and guidance where required.
- Assist with training of new team members.
- Ensure all team members are operating safely, professionally and in accordance with company procedures.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues relating to the attraction.
- Foster a positive, energetic and professional team culture.
Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming, fun and safe atmosphere for all visitors.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest queries professionally.
- Ensure queues and guest flow are managed efficiently.
- Act as an ambassador for Redhills Adventure and its values.
Operations
- Ensure the attraction area is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Support wider operational activities when required.
- Attend training sessions, team meetings and operational briefings.
- Assist management with continuous improvement initiatives and operational feedback.
Essential Requirements
You Must Have:
- A current and valid RLSS Ireland National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or another equivalent lifeguard qualification recognised in Ireland.
- Current First Aid certification (Occupational First Aid desirable).
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team in a leisure, hospitality, adventure or recreational environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong awareness of health and safety responsibilities.
- The ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
- A positive attitude with a strong focus on customer experience.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, public holidays and peak seasonal periods.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Occupational First Aid (QQI Level 5) certification.
- Experience working in adventure tourism, outdoor recreation or visitor attractions.
- Manual Handling certification.
- Experience conducting staff training or coaching.
- Experience managing customer incidents and conflict resolution.
