We are a team of experts in the area of Educational Technology with many years of experience in designing and delivering programmes for young people which make best use of teaching and learning through technology. We are actively involved in developing and promoting the effective use of technology in the classroom both in Ireland and throughout Europe. Our approach of Project-Based, Technology Enhanced Learning means that students work together to complete projects through English, using technology where it can help them in reaching their objective.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Leader for groups aged 11-17 years to join our summer programme team. This role involves leading activities set out by the company, ensuring safety of students and confidence of the group while here with us. We need someone who is confident working with a group of up to 25 persons and can maintain a functioning and fully thriving environment with such. This person should be excellent at working with young learners, including problem solving skills and a positive attitude. In addition to being highly organised and showing up to work well prepared.
Location: Dublin (Belvedere College)
Contract: 4 to 5 weeks from June 29th to July 31st
Learners’ Age & Levels: Ages 12–17, levels A2–B2 (Pre-Intermediate to Upper-Intermediate).
Weekly Hours: The Company reasonably expects to provide you with a minimum of 25 hours, maximum of 40 hours per week, working in the planning, delivery, and reporting of cultural activities in the afternoon, evening and weekend.
Schedule: Typical working hours are between (2.5 to 3.5 hours per day), with start and finish times varying depending on the activity + + as part of the contract hours
Rate: €382 per week (including holiday pay) for 25 hours work (additional hours will be paid on the same rate 15.28/h)

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all materials and plans for the activity are prepared and ready for implementation.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities, maintaining awareness of their location and behavior.
- Ensure adherence to conduct guidelines, health & safety procedures.
- Lead and manage groups of up to 24 students during activities, ensuring that everyone is involved, engaged, and adhering to the rules.
- Facilitate clear communication between students, providing language support as needed.
- Encourage the students to use English in a fun and supportive environment, enhancing their language skills.
- Work closely with other staff members, including teachers, coordinators, and guides, to ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated experience for the students.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activity plans, share feedback, and coordinate upcoming events.
- Provide a report with feedback and suggestions for improving activities and excursions to program coordinators.

- Coordinate logistics for activities, including confirming transportation has been arranged (if applicable), a venue has been booked (if applicable), and necessary equipment or materials have been set aside.
- Supervision & Safety
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during activities, maintaining awareness of their location and behavior.
- Ensure adherence to conduct guidelines, health & safety procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments for all planned activities and excursions, ensuring appropriate safety measures are in place.
- Group Management
- Lead and manage groups of up to 24 students during activities, ensuring that everyone is involved, engaged, and adhering to the rules.
- Address any behavioral issues promptly and effectively, maintaining a positive and respectful environment.
- Cultural Education & Integration
- Introduce the students to Irish culture, history, and traditions through interactive activities and discussions.
- Encourage interaction with local communities and participation in cultural experiences, fostering cultural awareness and understanding.
- Communication & Language Support
- Ensure you have the group leaders’ contact information and that they are kept updated of the planned activities.
- Facilitate clear communication between students, providing language support as needed.
- Encourage the students to use English in a fun and supportive environment, enhancing their language skills.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with other staff members, including teachers, coordinators, and guides, to ensure a cohesive and well-coordinated experience for the students.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss activity plans, share feedback, and coordinate upcoming events.
- Emergency Preparedness
- Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as injuries or missing participants, following established procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a list of emergency contacts and first-aid supplies, and know the locations of the nearest medical facilities.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Keep detailed records of attendance, and any incidents during activities (Incident Report template available).
- Provide a report with feedback and suggestions for improving activities and excursions to program coordinators.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or teenagers, preferably in a summer programme, camp, or educational setting
- Skills: Confident in supervising and managing large groups safely and effectively; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly to unexpected situations; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage and motivate young learners.
- Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends
- Location: Must reliably commute to or plan to be based near location before the start date.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in Ireland (EU citizenship or valid work/residency permit).
