Full job description

Location: Main Street Mall, Killarney

Well Cafe is opening this May, and we’re looking for a reliable and skilled Chef / Cook to join the team from launch. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced café environment focused on quality food, consistency, and efficient service.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for preparing and delivering a fresh, high-quality menu — from breakfast and brunch to lunch service. This role suits someone who can work clean, fast, and consistently while maintaining high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items including breakfast dishes, sandwiches, and light lunch options
Maintain consistency in presentation, portioning, and quality
Manage prep, stock, and kitchen organisation
Work efficiently during busy service periods
Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met
Keep the kitchen clean, structured, and well-organised
Support menu development and daily specials where needed

What We’re Looking For

Experience in a café, brunch, or fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong understanding of breakfast and lunch service
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
High attention to detail and pride in presentation
Reliable, organised, and proactive
A team player with a positive attitude
