Full job description

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to join our team here at Bmi Trailer Engineering Limited . This full-time permanent role will be based in the Newbridge/Naas area and will be responsible for the operation of tasks assigned to him, participating in physical work and sharing knowledge on site. This role will ensure the successful delivery of works in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Fitter duties will include:

Using and maintaining specialised machines and tools.
Assembling components so they are ready for installation.
Reading and interpreting project plans.
Coordinating with the management and other workers for efficient installations.
Performing MIG, TIG and other types of welding methods depending on the project.
Troubleshoot and fixing faults both on mechanical and electrical systems.
Carrying out planned maintenance duties.
Strong Mechanical Aptitude.
Experience working with various cutting and welding equipment.
To undertake any other duties or activities as required.

Skills/ Experience Required:

Each candidate must be of good character, be flexible and be able to work in a team. All employees must follow all standard operating and health and safety procedures of Bmi Trailer Engineering Limited . Training programs will be given to all successful candidates.
Qualified in Maintenance Fitter
Experience with fabrication, welding, turning, and grinding.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
High standard of time keeping and attendance.

Remuneration

Minimum Annual remuneration: €36,605 or €18.04 per hour.
Training in English skills and the company operating procedures will be given.
Access to suitable accommodation will be available.
Standard working week is 39 hours.
